Biography

Heather has had the pleasure of coaching and training PAs, secretaries and administrators around the world since 2000; helping them to work more effectively, become an asset to their organisations and develop their careers (www.bakerthompsonassoc.co.uk).

Heather spent over 20 years as a secretary and then PA herself so has "been there and got the T-shirt"!

She is the creator of the BakerWrite speedwriting system (www.bakerwrite.com), which is now also being offered to Pitman Training students. BakerWrite speedwriting can also be learnt online (http://www.bakerthompsonassoc.co.uk/products/bakerwrite-1).

In her minute taking book she shares with her readers her skills and experiences, and those of the hundreds of delegates who've attended her workshops. This book is the basis for the Pitman Training self study programme on minute taking.

Her latest book, "Successful Business Writing", enables her readers to learn how to plan, prepare and express their thoughts in a clear and persuasive way.

Heather has been married to Ian since 1979 and they have two gorgeous daughters, Ailsa and Erin, who now pay them rent!
